| The Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance Presents The Saugatuck Dunes A 2008 Juried Exhibition Submission Guidelines The SDCA presents this exhibit to raise awareness of and appreciation for the Saugatuck Dunes – open dunes, interdunal wetlands, coastal marsh, undeveloped beaches, and forested backdunes stretching from Lake Macatawa to Douglas; a remarkably rare and threatened Great Lakes Landscape. This exhibit is juried by Jason Kalajainen, Ox-Bow Executive Director, and Krista Reuter, Saugatuck Center for the Arts Program Director. Eligibility: All Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance members. Visit www.saugatuckdunescoastalalliance.org and learn how to become a member. Number of Entries: Each artist may submit two works in any medium. Work Eligible: Original artworks, completed in the last two years, representing and/or inspired by the Saugatuck Dunes. Two dimensional pieces may not exceed: 26" x 30". Three dimensional pieces may not exceed: 10" x 10" x 3' high. Two dimensional works must be ready to hang in a professional manner. Timeline:
Liability: Entries will be handled with all possible care, but the Saugatuck Center for the Arts and the Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance are not responsible for loss or damage to the work. Use of Works: The SDCA assumes the privilege to reproduce selected works in the print publication: The Saugatuck Dunes. In addition, the SCA and SDCA assume the privilege of photographing or using work entered in the exhibition for the purpose of publicity or education, unless the artist notifies us otherwise in writing at the time of submission. Sale of Works: The SCA will handle all sales of the artwork, which must remain for the duration of the show. There is a 40% commission, 20% benefiting the SCA and 20% benefiting the SDCA.
